We now have a blog

Guides on using music on YouTube — how copyright claims work, how to clear one, what a licence actually covers, and how to choose music that fits a video. Written for creators, not for lawyers. Read it at the blog.

  • YouTube Rights & Content ID — why an automated claim appears on a video, what it does to monetization, and how to release one on a channel you own.
  • Video Editing & Music Integration — mixing music under a voiceover, keeping speech intelligible, and matching a cue to a cut.
  • Music Production & Scoring — writing in a DAW, modal theory, scoring to picture, and what we look for when we review a composer’s catalog.
  • Spirituality & Sacred Sound — the traditions behind the catalog, and why that music still works under a modern edit.
  • Licensing — what a sync licence covers, and why film, broadcast, games and installations are quoted individually rather than sold from the site.

The new Audio Sanctum is live

We’ve spent the past three years building this new version of Audio Sanctum for you. Audio Sanctum has grown into a professional music service for YouTube Creators and Creatives with a need for premium and deep human-made music. We built real tools for your YouTube videos, claim management, and custom licensing. Your account transferred hassle-free: same email, same password, and all your saved favorites intact.

  • The catalog is now split into two music track tiers: Free and Premium.
  • There are now two plan types: a) Free and b) Subscriptions. Free accounts can use our free music, whereas subscribed accounts can utilize our whole music library and unlock premium features like effortless auto-claim-release on their connected channels.
  • To release a YouTube claim, every video now needs to be connected through the new Claims page in your account. That’s where you add a video or channel and manage your claim statuses. Nothing is released until your video is connected there, so be sure to link it up!
  • All videos you want whitelisted need to have a credit text in their description and follow our terms for applicable content. On your personal claims page, you’ll receive feedback in case your action is needed after our review. It also shows you the status of your videos in easy-to-use tabs.
  • Every video claim release now comes with an official license on each plan, including free use. It links the track directly to your video and channel, and it stays valid for that video as long as our terms are met, even if you change plans later.
